PEOPLE have been urged to have their say over Bradford Council’s proposed Housing Allocations Policy.

The Council is consulting on its proposal for a new Housing Allocations Policy as part of a review of the current policy.

This consultation seeks views on proposals to review and re-design the housing allocations policy and prioritise those in greatest housing need including the homeless, and those fleeing domestic abuse. The policy also looks to prioritise those in housing need who fall under the Council’s key priorities such as care-leavers.

It also aims to prioritise district residents in the new banding structure and use the revised allocations policy to deal with some elements proposed in the Homelessness Reduction Bill.

People can make representations by April 21, on the Housing Allocation Policy proposals by post to Access to Housing, First Floor, Britannia House, Bradford, BD1 1HX, or email hiron.miah@bradford.gov.uk
