Folk band is set to give it some welly
BRADFORD’S Topic Folk Club will set the stage for travelling folk band The Rubber Wellies next month.
Based in Dublin, Bilbao and Winchester and a favourite of Mike Harding, the band will be at the club at Glyde House, Glydegate, in the city centre opposite the ice rink on Thursday, April 27, at 8.30pm.
The gig will be inspired by curious everyday occurrences, global politics and folk legends in a mix of musical story-telling, good-time sing-alongs and crowd participation, says club promoters.
Tickets are available on the door for £6.
