A NEW walking rugby league group has been set up by the Bradford Bulls Foundation at the home of the Bulls, Odsal Stadium.

The sessions take place every Monday from 7pm to 8pm, and are open to men and women aged 50 years old and above.

The free games are a slow paced, minimal contact version of rugby league, with one major difference, running is banned.

The session are run in partnership with Age UK, and are designed to help people to remain active. Previous walking rugby league sessions have taking place across the district, including at Eccleshill Mechanics Institute, the Kirkgate Centre in Shipley, the Mary Seacole Centre in Little Horton, and Elm Tree Court in Thackley.

More than 60 people have taken part in the sessions so far.
