BRADFORD City Football Club are giving out 100 free tickets to disabled supporters for tomorrow’s League One clash with Swindon Town.
The initiative is part of the club’s #TeamTwenty season ticket campaign and its involvement with the 2017 Level Playing Field (LPF) campaign.
The LPF’s annual ‘Weeks of Action’ celebrates access and inclusion for disabled sports fans across England and Wales.
City’s chief operating officer James Mason said: “We want to lead and pioneer change that improves access and inclusion. In many cases our projects change the lives of disabled people.
“Our combined approach between the club and Community Foundation ensures we not only encourage as many disabled supporters to attend games but we also strive for increased participation in disability football, education, volunteering and employment opportunities.”
The free tickets will be given to young disabled footballers and Bradford-based community groups who work with the disabled. Mr Mason said: “We would like to place on record our thanks to the Community Foundation for helping fund the 100 tickets. It’s a brilliant example of how the two organisations work together.”
