A CORONATION Street star from the district was the VIP guest at the opening of a fundraising day on a farm.
Liam Bairstow, from Allerton, made history when he was the first actor with Down’s Syndrome to appear in the iconic soap, playing Alex Warner.
The Mind the Gap theatre company member was on hand at the Downson Farm in Clayton-le-Dale, Ribble Valley, to open the fundraiser in aid of Mencap. He is pictured with the Mayor of Ribble Valley, Cllr Joyce Holgate.
