TWO quad bikes were seized from nuisance riders after members of the public in Allerton rang police.

Officers from the Bradford district’s anti-social behaviour bike team were called to Saffron Drive on Friday night to a report of “nuisance quad bikers”.

One of the officers was in plain clothes and found the riders, who were unaware they were being watched by police.

A spokesman for the team said: “Again, thanks to members of the public ringing the police, we were able to get into the area quickly and resolve this particular problem.

“We use plain clothes tactics a lot and it reaps rewards, as in this case. Please pick up the phone and call us.”

The quad bikes were seized and the youths riding them were reported for road offences.
