A BUS firm that will soon receive at least seven brand new buses has suffered vandalism to five of its other new vehicles.
Keighley Bus Company general manager Colin Booth told the latest meeting of Keighley Public Transport Watch that the latest buses were due to be delivered in June.
Mr Booth added: “By the end of this year we intend to have newer buses in the school fleet, and by September we should have newer buses on the Leeds route too.”
But he said interiors of five of the company’s buses had been vandalised by youngsters aged about 11 or 12 in the Braithwaite area. “The seats have been slashed, causing about £2,000 worth of damage,” he said.
