A BINGLEY firm’s radiators will warm some of the nation’s young elite after it secured a contract with an illustrious school.

Feature Radiators, based in the Old Post Office in Main Street, has received an order for its Etonian cast radiators from Eton College itself.

Its products will be heating the halls of one of the country’s original public schools, which dates back to the time of Henry VI.

A total of 16 of its Etonian radiators will be installed in the science block at the college later this month, in a deal valued at £22,000. One of the radiators in the range weighs a quarter of a tonne and they retail for between £50 and £1,500.

Eton College’s alumni include former Prime Minister David Cameron, Princes William and Harry, actor Eddie Redmayne, and authors George Orwell and Ian Fleming.

Helena Gerwitz, Feature Radiators’ head of marketing, said: “We are delighted that our exclusive product has made the grade and will be adorning the halls alongside Princes, future Prime Ministers and Oscar-winners.

“This order gives recognition that our products and service are achieving top marks and can stand proudly alongside future politicians, writers and actors.

“We’re delighted that our Etonian cast iron radiators will now be warming the boys of the same name.”

The Etonian radiators are also being installed in a number of National Trust and listed properties in both central heating and electric versions.

This is not the company’s first brush with fame.

In 2015, it was assigned the mission of keeping James Bond warm.

The company was approached by Pinewood Studios about providing two radiators for the set of Bond’s London flat in Spectre, which starred Daniel Craig as 007.

Feature Radiators regularly supplies products to the BBC, with its wares being seen in hit shows such as EastEnders, and it has provided heating for the Big Brother house.

The firm, founded in 2001, also provided more than 30 radiators for the sprawling home in France of then married A-listers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
