SHOPPERS are invited to enjoy a Fairtrade Lounge tomorrow in the Airedale Shopping Centre.
From 10am to 4.30pm, visitors will be able to sample some of the finest Fairtrade products on offer, including chocolate, tea and coffee while learning about Fairtrade and flicking through the day’s newspapers or enjoying time on a games console.
Beauty students from Keighley College will be on-hand offering free head and hand massages.
Airedale Centre manager Steve Seymour said: “Millions of people in developing countries work extremely hard to produce tea, coffee, chocolate and a whole host of everyday goods including cotton and health and beauty products that we take for granted.
“It's about making sure those farmers and people involved in the supply chain are paid properly for the work they do and to ensure they're able to compete and survive against national and international companies.
“A number of our retailers who sell Fairtrade products including Boots, M&S and Superdrug have got involved to make Friday extra special with free samples of cosmetics and tasty treats."
The free Fairtrade Lounge will be in the Old Mall Café opposite M&S and Costa Coffee.
