HARDEN Parish Council addressed crime statistics, crime prevention and Neighbourhood Watch during their recent meeting.

The councillors were responding to residents who attended the meeting to raise concerns about a possible rise in crime in the village.

Council chairman Pam Laking explained how the council worked with local police, and said officers had increased patrols in the early hours of the morning.

Councillors pledged to tell the police about issues raised by the villagers.

Residents were urged to complete the Harden Parish Plan Survey, which includes questions about crime and policing, and encourage their neighbours to do likewise.
