POLICE are hunting a man who smashed his way into a Bradford city centre restaurant and stole cash.
The raider struck at Veri Peri, on the corner of Bank Street and Hall Ings, at 4.20am today.
He kicked his way through the glass front door after using a rock to smash the glass. Restaurant manager Saad Javed said the man ripped the till out, which contained about £100 in coins, before fleeing across Hall Ings towards Drake Street.
The incident was caught on the restaurant’s CCTV.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “The suspect is described as a white male, 6ft tall, and of slim build. He was wearing a light-coloured top with his hood up and wearing a beanie hat underneath. He was also wearing gloves, dark-coloured trousers and dark footwear.
“Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Bradford CID via 101, quoting crime reference 13170064088, or alternatively contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
