CREWS from Keighley and Bingley were called to a bin chute fire at a block of flats.
The blaze was spotted in the ground floor of the chute at Kennedy House, Hainworth Lane, Keighley, at just after 2pm today.
The smoke quickly spread up the floors of the block of flats where the chutes were positioned, but it was contained.
No-one was injured or suffered any smoke inhalation in the incident.
The cause of the fire has yet to be established.
Watch commander Andy Quinn, of Keighley Fire Station, said: “There was lots of smoke through the floors of the flats.”
