The driver was airlifted to hospital
AN ELDERLY driver was taken to hospital by air ambulance after a crash in Queensbury today.
The incident happened in Giles Hill Lane, when the man lost control of the car which struck a lamppost and crashed into a wall at about 1.30pm.
He was freed by crews from Odsal and Illingworth fire stations before being airlifted to hospital.
A spokesman at Illingworth fire station said the man had suffered cuts to his face and had complained of chest pains.
