A 36-year-old man who made £50,000 by selling jewellery at inflated prices has had his sentencing hearing adjourned so that an up-to-date medical report can be obtained.
Philip Waterhouse, of Addison Avenue, Bradford Moor, Bradford, has already pleaded guilty to four specimen charges of obtaining property by deception and was due to be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court today.
The offences cover a four-year period between October 2001 and October 2005 and relate to the same complainant who has since died.
After hearing that the defence have been unable to get a report from Waterhouse's General Practitioner, Judge Jennifer Kershaw QC agreed to adjourn the case for about three weeks.
Father-of-two Waterhouse was granted conditional bail until his next hearing on a date yet to be fixed.
