Regeneration chiefs say a BBC programme has highlighted the effectiveness of Will Alsop's masterplan for Bradford city centre.
Building Britain - A Tale of Two Cities, which aired this week, saw Linda Barker, right, comparing the development of Bradford and Leeds.
The Bradford-born designer praised the regeneration work taking place, including the £100 million Lister's Mill project in Manningham.
Miss Barker concluded her home city could have a brighter future than Leeds as Bradford's direction was governed by the masterplan, but developers are shaping the future of Leeds.
Maud Marshall, chief executive of Bradford Centre Regeneration, said: "The programme highlighted how effective the masterplan is in developing a city centre which will revitalise Bradford from the core."
