A new playground has been unveiled at Menston Pre-school.

A 30 metre square patch, between the library and bowling green has been transformed from a cramped corridor into a modern play area.

Designers Outdoor and Play, a husband and wife team based in Brighouse, did the work.

Managing director Lynne Roberts said: "It was a bleak, untidy space. The only nice bit about it was that it looked over the bowling green, other than that it was just an uneven thoroughfare.

"We have retained a lot of space for the children to do their own thing, like digging in the soil. At pre-school age, it is less about complicated equipment and more about stimulating imaginative play."
