20-YEAR-OLD Bradford man, who admitted wounding a 14-year-old boy, will be sentenced next month.

Sameer Saddiq, of Fitzroy Road, Barkerend, was due to be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court today, but the case was adjourned for the prosecution to obtain further medical evidence about the impact on the victim.

The court heard the child, who suffered a fractured eye socket and had an operation to insert a small metal plate, was still suffering double vision seven weeks after the offence.

He was under the care of his GP and was due to have a hospital check up .

Judge Jonathan Rose said a specific medical report was needed on the prognosis for the child’s injuries.

He adjourned sentencing Saddiq until November 22.

The judge granted conditional bail to the defendant until that hearing.
