A MAN in his 60s has died after being found with serious chest injuries at a house in Riddlesden.

Police were called to the property, in Arnside Avenue, by ambulance staff at 2.13pm yesterday.

The man, who has not been named, was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

A police spokesman said today that the death is not believed to be suspicious.

"We were called to the address to a report of an injured man in his 60s," he said.

"He was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

"A file has been passed to the coroner for further enquiries."

Shocked neighbours said there was a strong police presence in the area for much of the afternoon and evening.

One resident, who asked not to be named, said: "There were a number of police vehicles parked-up and officers were going from door-to-door asking people if they'd seen anything.

"They knocked on my door to check if CCTV cameras I have may have picked-up anything. They said they couldn't tell me anything about what had happened.

"The officers had gone from the area this morning but they were around well into yesterday evening.

"Someone told me they'd seen a body being taken away from the house.

"It's awful."
