The Broadway
A firearms officer was called to a city shopping centre after reports that a gun had been fired.
When they arrived at The Broadway, they found a 63-year-old man who had earlier legally purchased an air pistol. He had sat down in the centre to look at it when it released gas.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the man was spoken to about his actions.
No damage or injuries were caused in the incident, which happened at 2.59pm yesterday.
