IT was all aboard the Broadway Express for youngsters helped by Bradford Hospitals Children’s charity, which has teamed up with the city’s new shopping centre.
20 children enjoyed the first journey through the centre on the new mini-train which will be a permanent feature taking passengers on tours of the mall.
In one of the front carriages were excited brothers Oliver Neilson, six and Noah, four from Idle who were both born with severe haemophilia and who receive daily treatment.
“They are on medication, but both of them are full of life and can live normally thanks to the care they get,” said their grandmother Jo Neilson.
Smiling Inaaya Ramzan, three, enjoyed a ride with her twin brother Faaris. She suffered complications after being born with hole in the heart and needs monthly blood transfusions, said her father Ishy Ramzan of Nab Wood, Shipley.
“We call her doctor our guardian angel,” he said.
A cheque for £1,000 was also given to its partner charity by Broadway general manager Ian Ward.
