A MAN aged 40 who searched the internet for child porn featuring Japanese schoolgirls has been ordered to seek sex offender treatment.

Tom Boocock was caught with illegal images of children when police raided his home in Briggs Street, Queensbury, Bradford, on June 26 last year.

He pleaded guilty to five offences of possession of indecent images and movies, including five film clips and a photo in the most serious bracket of Category A.

Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday that when computer equipment was seized from Boocock's address, illegal material was found stored in a file named "Tommo."

He told the police he liked pictures of adults dressed to look younger.

The court heard Boocock had searched for material featuring Japanese schoolgirls.

He prolonged the enquiry by handing the police 91 DVDs of legal films that officers had to investigate.

Judge Robin Mairs sentenced Boocock, who was of previous good character, to a three year community order with a 60 day rehabilitation activity requirement.

The judge made an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and Boocock must register with the police as a sex offender for five years.
