A MAN has been arrested by police in Bradford city centre today.
Onlookers in busy Centenary Square watched as the man, aged 32, was led away to a police van.
Loud banging noises and shouting could be heard coming from inside the van after the man had been put inside the vehicle by two police officers.
The incident unfolded at about 2pm as many people, including some families with young children, were sitting in the square eating their lunch.
As the police van was driven away, banging noises could still be heard from inside the back of the vehicle.
A police spokesman said the man had been arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
