A WOMAN was attacked after refusing to hand over her car keys in a knifepoint robbery in Bradford.

The victim had just got into her red VW Golf in Harrogate Road when four men entered the vehicle, one with a knife.

Another man opened the driver's door and demanded she hand over the keys.

The woman refused and was punched and kicked by the men, who ran off with her handbag.

Police have now released images of men they want to trace in relation to the incident, which happened at about 6.50pm on Thursday, June 16.

Detective Inspector Paula Bickerdike, of Bradford District CID, who is investigating the incident, said: "Although the woman was not seriously hurt, this was an upsetting and traumatic experience for her and it is vital we find these men.

"This incident happened close to a busy parade of shops in broad daylight and we know there were other people in the area at the time.

"We would urge them to come forward and tell us what they saw."

One man has been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident, but anyone who recognises the men is urged to contact PC 4685 Moran at Bradford District CID on 101, quoting crime reference 13160257737.
