A TEAM of staff from a Bradford school will be taking part in this weekend's Race For Life in Lister Park.

Six women from Feversham Primary Academy will be taking part in the annual race to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The team, made up of teachers and non teaching staff, has involved pupils and the wider community in its fundraising efforts.

Early years teacher Sarah Norris said: "This charity is really close to our hearts. We have some current members of staff who have beaten cancer.

"We've tried to include parents and the community in the fundraising, and the staff who are not running have been getting involved too.

"We haven't done anything like this before in the school. We've had an assembly for the children and they all understand why we're doing this."

The charity event starts in Lister Park at 10.30am on Sunday.
