A FERAL pig found wandering the streets of Fagley has found a new home.
The mystery pig (pictured), believed to be male, was spotted walking the streets in Fagley Lane and around the area on several occasions over the last year.
He has been re-homed to a farm in Derbyshire, after the Manchester Pig Save group heard about his plight and stepped in.
Last month, Councillor Ann Wallace (Lib Dem, Eccleshill) highlighted what she described as the "bizarre" situation of a pig walking Fagley's streets.
She said goodbye to the pig, called Leo by his new owners, on Saturday, May 14, and is pleased he has found a new home.
She said: "He was a friendly pig. He is in a safer place in the farm now.
"He is very people friendly.
"He won't be walking the streets of Fagley anymore. He is a loss to the area."
