BRADFORD people have been urged to help name West Yorkshire Police's new horse.
The force's mounted section has brought in an unnamed four-year-old gelding (pictured) who is a shire-cross and is 16.1 HH tall.
It was brought in to replace horses who have moved on and retired last year and also one who died.
The public are being invited to get their thinking caps on and come up with a West Yorkshire-themed name for the male horse before 11.59pm on Thursday, May 12.
A selection of names will be put out for vote, held between Monday, May 16, and Sunday, May 22. The winning name will be announced on Monday, May 25.
The person behind the winning suggestion will then be invited to meet the new horse at the force's training and development site at Carr Gate, Wakefield.
