MOTORISTS using the M62 near Bradford face disruption due to closures and roadworks scheduled for next week.

At junction 26 on the motorway, the Chain Bar interchange with the M606, there will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in autumn 2016.

The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from five nights from Monday, with the westbound side of the carriageway also reduced to a single lane.

The eastbound carriageway towards junction 27 will be reduced to a single lane overnight from 8pm to 6am tonight to allow for technology works.

The eastbound entry slip road at junction 25, Brighouse, will be closed from 8pm on Friday until 6am on Saturday for technology works, with drivers able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

Highways England said all planned work was subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
