Four people have been arrested after a late night crash in Bradford which left one man in hospital with head injuries.

Police were called to Sunbridge Road at 9.14pm yesterday after a report of a road traffic collision.

Officers attended and found a VW Passat and an Audi A3 which had left the road and collided with the wall of the Sun Hotel public house.

A 32-year-old man in the Passat was taken to hospital with head, knee and chest injuries and remains in a stable condition today.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

No one else was injured and both vehicles were recovered from the scene.

Enquiries suggested that the occupants of the Passat had been involved in an earlier altercation in Croft Street with the occupants of an Audi A3.

The injured man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Following further enquiries three men aged 34, 32 and 24 were also arrested and remain in custody today.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

One onlooker said: It's quite bad, the Audi is missing a wheel and the driver was taken away in an ambulance. "The front of the car is pretty smashed up and there is either petrol or oil all over the road."

Enquiries into this incident are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue said: "We received a call at 9.14pm of a three car incident, with one crashed into the side of the Sun Hotel."
