A PLAN which would see Bradford keep a world-renowned photography collection will go before the board of the Science Museum Group today.
The transfer of the Royal Photographic Society collection from the National Media Museum to the V&A museum in London provoked anger locally when it was unveiled last month
Now Bradford West MP Naz Shah has put forward two alternative proposals to keep the collections in Bradford.
One reason for transferring the collection to V&A is thought to be that the images could be digitised there, so they are accessible online.
Ms Shah said: "I have proposed that the Science Museum Group reconsider digitising the collection here in Bradford.
"Should this option not be viable, then the Science Museum Group loan the images to the V&A for the purpose of digitising them, with an agreement they will come back to Bradford and remain the property of Bradford.
A spokesman for the Media Museum said it had held "useful conversations" with Naz Shah and other Bradford politicians.
"The input and feedback received has been very helpful and is due to be discussed tomorrow by the Science Museum Group board," the spokesman added.
