Women who doffed their clothes for a calendar and inspired a block-busting movie are at it again.

The Calendar Girls of the Rylstone WI have exposed themselves once more in aid of Leukaemia Research - this time in a box of chocolates.

Each of the 12 flavours is wrapped in a picture of one of the women and, yesterday, they were guests of Whitakers Chocolates in Skipton to launch them.

Twenty pence from every sale of the £1.99 box of dark chocolates will go to Leukaemia Research. One of the women, Tricia Stewart, said: "If a million boxes are sold Leukaemia Research stands to get £200,000. We have so far raised £1.5 million and our aim is to try to get to £2 million - this will help a lot."

And Angela Baker, whose husband John died of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and inspired the original calendar, said: "The last thing I ever imagined was to be featured on a chocolate. It's marvellous."

The chocolates are available at Whitakers in Skipton, various nationwide retailers and online at leukaemiaresearch.org.uk.
