POLICE have released an e-fit of a robber who bit the face of a woman in her home at Laisterdyke, Bradford.
The suspect knocked on the door of the house in Lapage Street and told the woman occupant he was calling on behalf of the landlord of the property.
He then searched the property and began to take money from a wallet, at which point the woman tried to stop him and an altercation occurred.
The suspect then stole a chain from her neck and her mobile phone before leaving the house.
The victim, who is in her late 20s, suffered a bite to her face but was otherwise uninjured.
The suspect is described as white, stocky and of Eastern European appearance.
He is believed to be in his mid to late twenties and had dark hair, brown eyes with long dark eyelashes and a broad nose.
He was wearing a grey tracksuit and white trainers.
The incident happened at about 1pm on Sunday, November 15.
Detective Constable Stephen Hepworth, of Bradford District CID, said: "This was a nasty robbery and we would like to speak to anyone who saw this man in the area at the time.
"It is possible this man may have tried to gain entry into other houses in the area, and we would be keen to speak to anyone who might recognise him."
