Age Concern is appealing for volunteers to help staff its revamped shop in Skipton.
The Swadford Street outlet, which has been operating for 12 years, closed for a week while new displays and lights were fitted.
Now the shop is appealing for people to assist its four regular helpers, who are struggling to keep on top of the workload.
The charity would like to recruit another ten volunteers to do at least two hours a week helping to sort, steam and hang garments to ensure a steady flow of goods into the store. They are also needed to help with window dressing or serving customers.
Manageress Vivienne Carter said: "The work is voluntary, though bus fares are paid to those who work two hours or more."
