A PLANNING chairman has once again warned the people of Bradford she takes a dim view of retrospective applications.
Councillor Doreen Lee (Lab, Keighley East) said: "It's not good. I want the message to go out once again: retrospective planning is not something that this panel takes lightly. I have said it once and I will say it again."
Cllr Lee spoke out as the panel considered a retrospective application for a dormer window to the front of a home in Carr Bottom Avenue, Little Horton, Bradford.
She said: "You can't take the law into your own hands in this city any more. We are not having it."
A report by planning officers said the front dormer was finished with blue slates to match the existing roof, and recommended approval.
It said the unauthorised use of uPVC cladding on a rear dormer could "be investigated separately via the planning enforcement process if necessary".
The panel approved the application.
