A teenager's toy gun prank led to an armed police operation at a primary school in Bradford.
Officers were alerted, and children kept behind at closing time, after a 'gunman' was spotted by staff behind Ryecroft Primary Academy, in Kesteven Close, Holme Wood, last Thursday afternoon.
Armed officers and the police helicopter were involved in the search for the suspect.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested and held in custody on Friday but was later released without charge.
Police then arrested a 16-year-old boy who admitted being in possession of a toy gun, which was confiscated. He has now been referred to the Youth Offending Team.
Detectives said their inquiries had established that the incident had been caused by "a couple of kids messing about".
