A RETROSPECTIVE application for new signage at Bradford Council's customer services centre has been approved by the authority's planners.
The new vinyl window signs have already been installed at Britannia House in the city centre conservation area.
The majority of the vinyl signs were mounted on the interior of the glass, which did not require express advertising consent. But one section was not accessible, so needed to be applied externally, resulting in the application.
An earlier statement from the Council defended its use of a retrospective application, which came shortly after the chairman of a council planning panel warned they would take a dim view of those using such after-the-fact applications.
The spokesman said: “The concerns of planning panel members have no connection to minor technicalities of this kind.”
