A SCRAWNY knife-wielding robber stole cash after threatening staff at a Bradford bookies.

Detectives today issued an appeal for information about the armed robbery, which took place at Coral in Huddersfield Road, Low Moor, on Thursday at about 7.35pm.

The robber entered the shop armed with the knife before threatening workers and taking money. Police say he turned right as he left the shop and headed in the direction of the housing estate.

Police said the man was about 6ft tall, scrawny, and had a dark or possibly Asian appearance. He was wearing a balaclava mask, a grey hooded tracksuit top with the hood pulled over his head, and gloves.

Detective Inspector Andy Howard, of Bradford District CID, said: "We believe there were a number of people in the area at the time of this robbery and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has any information about the offence."
