POLICE have discovered cannabis at a house in Bradford and made one arrest.

Officers executed a drugs warrant at noon yesterday at a property in Chapel Street at Queensbury.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "A quantity of cannabis was discovered on the property and an arrest was made in connection with the matter.

"Electrical engineers were called to make the property safe and forensic enquiries have been ongoing this afternoon."

Residents spoke on social media of strong smells of cannabis coming from the property yesterday.

One witness said police were throwing large numbers of bags thought to contain cannabis into the back of a police van.

The police spokesman said he had no information about the quantity of cannabis seized, nor the age and gender of the person who was arrested.
