THE Talking Telegraph is appealing for volunteers to help with its weekly recordings of news items for visually impaired adults.
The independent charity records items from the Telegraph & Argus which are sent to people across the Bradford district.
Representatives of the charity were the weekend's Heroes and Villains-themed scarecrow festival in Cullingworth to tell people about its work.
The charity celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2015 and has a display showing some of its volunteer heroes, past and present, in the window of Cullingworth Paper Shop.
There is also a display of 60 Minute Heroes - Bradford-connected personalities who have donated at least least 60 minutes to be guest readers for the organisation.
The Talking Telegraph is recruiting volunteers to join its five-weekly rota, including readers, technicians, editors and administrators.
People can sign-up by visiting the Paper Shop and leaving contact details or by calling 07908273899 and leaving a message.
60 Minute Heroes so far have included Conservative Shipley MP Philip Davies (pictured), former Bradford West MP George Galloway and Bana Gora, the chief executive of the Muslim Women's Council.
