A 38-YEAR-OLD man extradited from Jamaica for a cocaine plot is behind bars awaiting a lengthy jail sentence.
Marlon Cotterill jumped police bail in 2008 when he was charged with involvement in the transport of almost a kilo of the Class A drug from London to West Yorkshire.
Today he pleaded guilty at Bradford Crown Court to conspiring with Andrew Bullock, Mohammed Shitta and others to supply Class A drugs on July 4, 2008, and an offence under The Bail Act.
He will be sentenced on Friday, September 18.
Cotterill, a father of four, of Kerrison Road, south west London, has a previous similar conviction dating from 2000.
Judge Peter Benson remanded him back into custody to Leeds Prison, telling him to expect a "considerable" prison term, with a consecutive sentence for absconding.
Cotterill was arrested under an international arrest warrant in January this year when he was travelling back to Jamaica from the United States.
He was charged with the drugs plot at Bradford Central police station on September 16, 2008, and bailed to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court on October 1.
Instead, he fled the country, spending six years in Jamaica and time in the States.
