A WOMAN was taken to hospital with a head injury after she was in collision with a bus at the Bradford Interchange.
The accident happened at 8am when the 620 Haworth Road service was starting out on its journey and collided with the 54-year-old pedestrian.
The Interchange was closed for around half an hour while emergency services dealt with the accident.
Passengers were later diverted as a number of stands were briefly sealed off for police to examine the scene.
The casualty was said to be conscious and breathing before she was taken by ambulance to Bradford Royal Infirmary.
A spokesman for First Bus said the bus driver and 12 passengers were uninjured. He said there were speed restrictions at the bus station and the collision had happened at low speed.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Combined Authority, which manages the Interchange said: “We wish the pedestrian a speedy recovery and have initiated an investigation into how this incident occurred.”
