THREE children, including a three-month-old baby, were rushed to hospital after a house fire in Bradford late last night.
The family of eight, two parents and six children, managed to escape the fire at the terraced house in Durham Road, Manningham, shortly before 11pm.
The three children taken to hospital had suffered from smoke inhalation.
The fire is thought to have started in a bedroom, and the cause was today under investigation.
When fire crews from Bradford and Fairweather Green stations arrived they found the property was well alight although the family had managed to get out.
Aldene Woodward, watch commander at Fairweather Green, said: "It was quite bad. The family has been displaced now.
"The fire is being investigated by the fire investigation team and the police.
"A significant amount of smoke spread around the house, it caused enough damage that the family wouldn't have been able to stay in the house. We called a Red Cross crisis team to help with the family. One of the children taken to hospital was a three-month-old baby."
