A MAN in distress was coaxed from a Bradford reservoir today by police.
Officers, along with the fire and ambulance services, were called to Chellow Dene reservoir in Heaton just after 9.30am.
Bingley fire station commander Tony Pearson said the man, aged 36, was waist deep in the water when emergency services arrived.
Mr Pearson said: "Fortunately police have managed to talk him out, which is a good outcome."
The man was taken to hospital as a precaution after coming out of the water.
Five ambulances, four police cars and four fire engines from Bradford, Bingley and Idle stations, including the water rescue unit, attended the scene.
Onlookers said the man was rescued from the water at about 11am. One man said: "It is good news that he has got out."
