A MAN recorded allegedly raping a woman in his car yesterday told a jury it was "role play" during consensual sex.

Usman Hussain is on trial at Bradford Crown Court denying seven offences of rape and one of assault causing actual bodily harm.

The Bradford woman, in her mid 20s, claims the recording on her phone is of Hussain forcing her to have sex with him during their two year relationship.

Hussain, 24, of Victory Avenue, Paddock, Huddersfield, told Bradford Crown Court he had a partner while he was in a relationship with the complainant.

The woman put him under pressure to leave his partner and there were problems between the two women.

Hussain said he met the complainant on Facebook and they had sex in his car on their first date.

She booked rooms at the Great Victoria Hotel and at a Travel Lodge so they could meet up.

He said she was "a very awkward character" and her family knew nothing about the relationship.

All the sex was consensual and she never told him to get off her.

"We used to to do a lot of things. Experiment and stuff," he said.

The trial continues.
