From traditional Easter Eggs hunts to the fun of the fair, a range of entertainment takes place in the Bradford district over the Easter weekend.

1. Bingley Food and Drink Festival - Foodies will be flocking to this event, which starts today and runs until Sunday in the Town Square. A market organised by Bradford Council will accompany the festival from 9am until 5pm tomorrow and Saturday where there will be stalls offering cheese, pickles and relishes, honey and jam, pork pies and baked goods as well as the usual Bingley market.

The beer tent, which is being run by Bingley’s Foundry Hill bar, will open from 5pm to 12 midnight today and 12 noon until midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a programme of live music to keep people entertained over the whole weekend. The marquee will have about 40 different ales, eight craft lagers and 20 ciders from Yorkshire and beyond and new for this year will be a Prosecco bar.

The festival is being organised with the support of the Bingley Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

2. An Easter Fun Fair at Forster Square Retail Park - held until Sunday, April 12.

3. The Bradford Eye Big Wheel - in Centenary Square will be open all over Easter.

For those wanting more traditional Easter entertainment there are several egg hunts are taking place.

4. The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway ‘eggtastic’ hunt - Running until Sunday, April 12.

5. Mrs Flutterby’s Easter trail - at East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley, from tomorrow to April 6.

6. Northcliffe Woods Easter event - Families can meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy a picnic lunch and compete in egg and spoon races at Northcliffe Woods, Shipley, from 12:30pm until 3pm on Saturday.

7. Egg decorating at South Square Gallery - Those in a more creative mood can drop into South Square, Thornton, until April 12, and decorate your own egg in a self-led activity.

8. Drawn By Light exhibition - Take part in the Drawn By Light exhibition at the National Media Museum where visitors can take their own photographs.

9. Hey Presto magic show - Magic fans can experience a night of visual trickery at the Hey Presto annual family magic show at Bingley Arts Centre on Saturday from 7.30pm.

Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council's executive member for culture, said: “From the Food and Drink Festival in Bingley to the Drawing with Light exhibition at the National Media Museum, there’s a lot happening this weekend right across the Bradford district. Of course there are lots of Easter egg hunts too, as you'd expect. Let's hope we get some decent weather to enjoy the holiday.”
