A WORCESTERSHIRE woman is appealing for information from Keighley people about a stained glass window believed to be originally from Silsden she owns.

Joyce Rose, 93 from Bredon, near Tewkesbury, believes the picture of kingfishers originally came from a house in Silsden. She has been told that the panel came from a now-demolished house that originally belonged to the Arthur Drive textile mill. at Silsden. The painted glass shows two kingfishers flying by a rock at the water’s edge, and is surrounded by a floral design.It has now been mounted into a new kitchen door. She said: “It is absolutely beautiful and gets the morning sunshine.”She said the specialist who prepared a the cracked glass believed the panel was more than 100 years old.
