RESIDENTS in Bradford have been urged to speak out about their difficulties in finding an NHS dentist.

Healthwatch organisations across West Yorkshire are working together to highlight issues around information about, and access to, NHS dentists in the region.

A survey by Public Health England over the next four weeks will ask patients about their experiences of NHS oral health services, including dentists, in Yorkshire.

Andrew Jones, of Healthwatch Bradford and District, said: “We hear a lot from people who are struggling to find an NHS dentist accepting new patients.

“We’ve found out how difficult it is to get information, and how frustrating it can be faced with long waiting lists or having to travel across the district or beyond.”
