PUPILS at a Bradford school have been enjoying fun activities during their health week.

Grove House Primary School has hosted zumba classes, assault courses and lunchtime activities to promote eating well.

All of the school’s 420 children were also urged to make a healthy lifestyle pledge, such as eating a healthy breakfast and making sure they eat five portions of fruit and vegetables each day.

It is hoped the pupils will keep up with their pledges after the health week finishes on Friday.

The head teacher of the school in Myers Lane, Eccleshill, Mick Hayes, said the pupils had fun taking part in the health week and teachers hoped hope to make it a regular event.

He added: “It is part of our move to try and promote children to be active and this week has been a good way to do that.

“The week has been really good so far, the children have loved it. The children have enjoyed doing lots of activities. We will try to make it a regular feature at the school.”
