DEBT charity Christians Against Poverty has been been named as one of the UK’s best employers.

The Bradford-based organisation was placed second in the Sunday Times Best 100 Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For 2015.

Bosses John Kirkby and Matt Barlow were also jointly awarded with the title of Best Leader.

Christians Against Poverty provides free debt counselling, job clubs, money management courses and sessions to help break life-controlling dependencies.

It does this in partnership with hundreds of churches across the UK which offer face-to-face help supported by the 260-strong workforce at its Bradford base.

The awards come as CAP again expands its reach across the UK this year with 18 new debt centres expected to open in March alone, including a third centre in Bradford.
