BRADFORD City bosses have said any remaining tickets for Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final clash against Reading will now not go on general sale tomorrow as originally planned.

The club is contacting fans in a bid to ensure that all season ticket and flexi card holders who want a ticket for the game are able to get one.

Engineers are working to remove unused seating from an area of the main west stand at Valley Parade to replace them with space for an extra 424 spectators due to the demand for tickets which looks set to generate a record crowd.

In a statement on its website, the club said: "We had originally planned to go on general sale with any remaining tickets on Monday, however, this will not now be the case.

"Our priority is to try to ensure that all season ticket holders and flexi card holders that want a ticket will get one.

"We are currently going through a list of those that have contacted the club to say that they do not yet have a ticket.

"To make sure we can thoroughly check this, if you are a season ticket holder or a flexi card holder and have not yet contacted the club, please do so via email at bradfordcityfc@compuserve.com.

"Please be aware that it is strictly one ticket per season ticket or flexi card holder.

"Again, we apologise for what has happened and we are working hard to rectify the situation."
