POLICE recorded 15 trans-gender hate crimes between January and mid November last year in West Yorkshire, compared to 17 for the full previous year.
That was up from seven incidents in 2012, figures from West Yorkshire Police show. Hate crime is a priority and the policing plan has “a specific equality objective to increase awareness and reporting around hate crimes and incidents and provide victims with appropriate support”.
